I know the accessory tach for the America was plug and play starting in 2007. Still the directions leave alot to be desired. The plugs are a no brainer but do you have to remove the console to install it. If so do you need to disconnect all of the indicator lights?
Thanks,

Yes you have to remove the console, but you only need to lift it up high enough to tighten the nut that holds the tach in. I put one on my bike at Christmas, I stalled to make it last and it still only took 10 minutes. I also put dielectric grease on the connections.

Yes, very easy. Open up console, tighten it down and good to go. Check your connections and wires as for some reason the tach may go crazy (needle bobbing around wildly) on occasion. There are a couple of threads here on that but no real solution unless a bad wire or contact.
