bleh, i don't think he's following you guys. start with the simple things like
-what type of file are you sending? anything that ends in .exe may not be sent by common email programs, or may be intercepted by the recipient's antivirus
most other things, at least in xp, all you'd have to do is take everything you want to send, put it in a folder, right click on the folder, and select 'send to'. it will give you the option to send it to a compressed folder. do that, and you should have a zipped folder in the same directory as your original folder.
here's an image of what i get when i right click, and pull down to send to, and then over to 'compressed folder'. if i did this, it would make a compressed copy of my folder 'everything else' on my desktop (because that is where i have that folder).
