My brother lives in Myrtle. He was an avid supporter of Bike Week for years. His daughters grew up doing bike week every year with him.
It is a correct statement. Black Bike Week last year was the end of it all. Theft, shoplifting, violent crime, assaults etc. He indicates it was the worst week of any short of Hurricane Hugo.
He strongly supports the bans and loss of bike week just to ensure Black Bike Week can never happen again in Myrtle Beach.
