If you have the skills or know someone who does you can do a gel insert in the stock seat for much less and have what I would consider a much more comfy seat. The gel and memory foam to finish it are available on Ebay fairly cheap. The job is easy if you reuse the original cover.I don't have the website for the how to anymore but I have all the instructions with pictures and all.

For looks it can't be beat, IMO,..as for comfort, I'm 6'1" 180, so no padding on the "back" side--
Been in the saddle for two hours--no problem. It puts you
"in" the bike, not on top of it.

I think the site is http://greatdaytoride.com/Home_Page.php This guy does gel inserts and mods, and I was looking at this before I went with a Corbin.

That isn't it but I looked and the link is on the page I saved. I have all the pictures and the text saved on my computer. Here is the page.

I absolutely love the seat. I came across a good deal on ebay or I probably wouldn't have spent the money... but believe me it is well worth it...even for looks alone!

I'm 5'10" and 200. The low profile seat from newspeedmaster fit me just fine. I spent quite a few 200-300 miles days on that seat without any problems. Doing more than that wouldn't have been a problem. It's already been said, but it allows you to sit down in the bike more, and it really helps you "feel" the bike better.

Dog is right about the gel pads helping with comfort. It's a low cost alternative to a custm touring seat, but if you are looking at the low profile seat you probably like the style of the seat and adding a gel pad to the stock seat just doesn't have the same look.

If you like the looks of the low profile go ahead and buy it. It's a great seat.

I like the look of the low profile seat also but can't justify the price right now. I got the gel seat kit of e bay.
Wound up removing most of the stock seats foam and only using the memory foam and the smoothing foam that came with the kit. Got it where I like it now.
