Depends how far you want to move it and the angle you want the lever at. There is quite a bit of adjustment in the shift rod. I found that out when moving Wendy's back. It is possible you may have to shorten it but there again not a huge job. Could make a new one or cut the existing rod with not too much trouble. Would have to get a LH thread die for one end though.
