My knife carrying is a throw back to my grandfather too. When I lived on the farm with him we always carried one for general use. I have a 10" double edged dagger on my wrecker dash and I carry a Buck lock blade. My grandfather also always had his 45 on his hip. I carry too but not a 45 like he had.
