My Norton Internet Security has just come up for renewal... at £40! So thought I'd try these programs instead. Uninstalled NIS (and the bits they don't want you to uninstall!) Set up ZoneAlarm, that got tricky at one point, couldn't access the Net or my network but after a bit of fannying around managed to suss it out.
Doing a full scan at the moment and Avast has already spotted 2 trojans and an adware that that NIS had failed to spot, and this is free?!
