A little snip from one--

The University of Utah psychologists conducted the alcohol study because a 1997 study by other researchers evaluated the cell phone records of 699 people involved in motor vehicle accidents and found one-fourth of them had used their phone in the 10 minutes before their accident – a four-fold increase in accidents compared with undistracted motorists.

I bet 1/4th of them drove past a tall tree too. Get the chainsaws. Had used it within 10 minutes! Fabulous research there.

Were they on the phone when they crashed?
Was the proximate cause of the crash their fault?
Classic examples of make a conclusion then do the study to fit it. If one was rear ended at the stop sign I bet that pesky cell phone was the cause of that one.

72.5% of all accidents occur where the vehicle owner has the car radio on. Well, where is that law? Where is that research?
