Every day, every year, never go to the race though, too many pubs/bars.  (not exactly a good role model, but da-n I have fun!  )

FYI, the Daytona 200 will be run under the lights in 2009.

That would be cool to see it at night. Lets just hope it is a little bit warmer than last years race. During the day it was nice, but that night it got pretty cold (for Florida).
Not sure which day I will be going up, but as usual a small group of us will be camping at the ABATE campground on the Volusia County Fairgrounds. If you are camping there look for the "Limeyland" banner, and you can become an honorary member of the British Bike Club (BBC) of Brevard Florida.

I plan to be in Daytona for Bike Week Friday, 2/27 to Monday, 3/2. I guess I'll actually see the Thunderbird. Triumph plans to have all 4 they have to show there. There is a lot of stuff I've been wanting to see first hand.
I'll be riding with 3 Harley friends. Haven't been since 2006, the first Bike Week after I got my Triumph in 2005.

So how about we all meet up for a pint at one of the many fine drinking establishments . i,ll be staying in Orlando for the week, but will be heading to Daytona on the 1st and again during the week (maybe on 2 wheels). looking forward to seeing the Triumph demo truck or whatever it is and Exile cycle display.

If you plan to do demo rides make sure you're there EARLY! The last time I went down to Daytona the slots filled up almost as soon as they opened for the day.

Gordie, seeing that I have to leave the morning of the 2nd, the best shot would be on the 1st. I definitely plan to visit a number of drinking establishments. If you PM me your info, I'll give you my cell number.

Heading to Desination Daytona around noon then over to Volusia county fairgrounds for the swap meet I'll look for the Limeyland banner.

ABATE Campground info
The cost is $15 plus tax per night (Cash only). They have showers, several vendors, and a small Food wagon for breakfast and lunch. For the price it is pretty good.
From New Smyrna head west on SR-44. Volusia Co.Fairgrounds will be on the left side. If you go over I-4 you went 0.5 mile to far.
