Aha - but what you did'nt know was that when the ancient Greeks, Arabs and Assyrians etc. went out on their chariots and horses, the ones that had been eating baklava noticed that where they had flakes of the pastry on their faces, it reduced the coldness of the breeze...and thus was born the concept of facial protection from cold and wind which culminated in the invention of the balaclava and latterly the buff!! (or perhaps not....did soldiers in the Crimea eat small, delicate flaky pastries...
