I have been absent from the site for a while and since i have been checking in again i noticed that one of my favorite personalities from this site seems to have vanished. Anybody heard from Ed (oldroadie)??? I see that he hasn't posted in over a month now. I hope he is well.

I thought he said he was going to be traveling with work again... of course, I could be thinking of someone else

Yep. I think he's been on the road again!

(and no...if you're wonderin', I don't think it's with Willie Nelson OR Bob Seger)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

And speakin' o' which...

What happened to Paula, aka:"TriumphGoddess", around here anyway? I can't even seem to find her on the Users List anymore!

And, Cynthia, aka: "CynMcA"?

And, Russell, aka: "sigmund"?

And, Shane, aka: "Bobbed"?

And...well, I'm sure you folks can contribute a few names o' people who YOU always found entertaining that just don't seem to "like us anymore"!

(hey, maybe them folks are bein' treated just like the proverbial "Rented Mule" at THEIR place of business TOO, just like our illustrious Administrator has just informed us about HIS fate lately, huh?!)

Last time I rode with him (on the way to the Ark Rally) he was preparing to go on tour with Wynonna Judd.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Paula was at the NH rally for a bit and her handle is ATriumphGoddess, haven't met or chatted with the others so I'm not sure what they're doing.

On a side note, I met a new SM owner in Charleston, SC on Christmas eve (we had some nice riding weather down here but unfortunately I wasn't riding). I introduced myself and told him about the site so hopefully we'll have a new member. He had an '06 red/black SM that he bought from someone in OR (had it shipped out this way).

Ah HA! "A"TriumphGoddess, it is!

(I KNEW I should'a bought that particular vowel from Sajak!)

Thanks for the info, Greg. And maybe we'll hear from that new owner, too.

I still get an Email from him from time to time. I'm sure he'll be back when he can.

Well, I'm guessing my last post here was almost two years ago, but I'm not going to dig around to find out! As you can read, i am still alive and well and celebrated a significant birthday yesterday - what cricket fans would call scoring a half century. My Triumph is currently waiting for a day without snow and sub-zero temperatures here in north-east Ohio.

Although there is a recession going on, I've spent most of the last year focusing on growing my company to the point that I have been too busy even to post here - although I have stopped in for a quick read a couple of times, and just to see if the "old folks" are still here (and they are, eh Dwight?)

I also found the switch to no religion, politics, or anything contentious made things a little quieter, and in truth, I thrive on that sort of stuff in real life so I guess I drifted away. Oh, and before someone slaps my virtual wrist, that is NOT a criticism - I support the rights of ANY list owners to make the rules - it's just a little feedback on why I personally slipped away.

So I'll try to stop by a little more this year although I also do some freelance writing nowadays that pays me, which means I have to choose between chatting with y'all or earning cash Sorry!

But I am so pleased that so many of you are still here swapping stories and riding your bikes. I'm still loving my Bonnie and she still turns heads. Of course, when the mythical 1600 appears...

If life wasn't so pointless and absurd, I would take it more seriously.

Well, first of all, Happy Big Five-O there, Siggy! AND, glad to see that you found this thread and gave some of us "old folks" around here a much needed update of your happenings, and that they're going in a positive direction.

Tsk, tsk. Two bloody years between postings?! Completely unacceptable, ol' boy.

(...and besides, THAT didn't take all that long to type into this website, now did it???!!!)

Although Aday has been gone for a couple years, I miss his posts. He left because of some of the things going on in this forum. Since he was such a fixture on this site, I wonder if he lurks every now and then.

Yep, Adey's back, with a new handle.
I figured it out after seeing pics from the SWTF last year.
He tried to hide from the cameras, but I saw a pic of his
forearm tats that are unique.
Busted!
Uncle Charlie
BTW, I met him at Pat's NeRally a couple of years ago, and
he's AOK!

You have to make it to a rally for that.
