Uh oh! I think not only have I created a monster around here with all this "fin talk" o' mine , BUT NOW it appears some folks around here wanna say that those '50s cars had "wings" on 'em instead of "[tail]fins", huh?!

Okay Ian and Joe, I'll grant you guys that the horizonal "fins" of say the '59 and '60 Chevys(and a few other makes that had HORIZONTAL "fins") COULD possibly be called "wings" MAYBE, but EVEN if you'd care to describe all the "fins" that were less than vertical on the cars back then(like maybe the '61 and '62 Caddys with those "fins" running along the lower flanks of those cars) I'd STILL guess that very few people would call those things "wings".

And beside, aren't "wings" something that provide LIFT to an object? Something that you probably wouldn't want to happen while you're driving down the road, ya know?!
