Phil, I checked the hose. It runs behind the right carb to what must be the check valve (retained in a clip) and then behind the battery to the bottom of the bike. There weren't any kinks or visible signs of a problem. Is a bad check valve on a new bike common? I may have to wait until I get back to my dealer to get a replacement. They are 40 miles away (in a direction I rarely travel).
