Here ya go, folks! It's again!

The 2009 and 3rd annual Southwest Triumph Fest in the historic town of Prescott Arizona will be Friday May 22nd -Sunday May 24th, 2009. (which is Memorial Day Weekend, BTW)

As usual, anyone bringing their own bedroll will be able to just throw that puppy down anywhere in the rally headquarters(otherwise known as my house) where they'll feel comfortable bedding down. And as usual, anyone wishing their own hotel or motel room at a nearby location, well just PM me and I can relay to ya a whole passel of those too, from the basic motel room right down the road, to a variety of historic hotels in town that are within a mile and a half radius.

And, AND as usual, if you'd like to arrive a day earlier(Thursday) or stay a day later (Monday) at the house, well that's no problem at all either.

At this time I'm thinkin' this year's "big ride" on Saturday will consist of a Prescott-Jerome-Sedona-Flagstaff-Mormon Lake-Camp Verde-Prescott route, which is about a 200 mile run altogether.

Alright! So who's up for this shindig this year...huh?!

And what'll those T-shirt sizes be, anyway?

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Wrong weekend for me! Will be difficult to make happen. But nothing is ever impossible no matter how improbable it may seem at any given moment.

If you can do something about the near non-existant work situation over here AND get the $ - £ exchange rate back nearer $2 to £1, we'd be there again!

We just can't WAIT to get another POS rental Electraglide!

Heilege scheisse, fledermausmann! Thought I sensed a disturbance in the force, strong enough to wake me from my winter slumber.

Did someone say Bill sleeps under the fan? Big Bill, or Billy-Bob? Big-Bill can sleep anywhere he wants, so long as it's honker down - even scared me, and I'm the F&S King West O' the Mississippi.

Mikey - remind me to stop by "Mercado K," and along with the towels I'll surely forget to bring (just another excuse to get more manly ones than Mrs. Wall provides), maybe one of those floor fans. Sounds like we've got to get in some practice rides before then.

Also, let us remind ourselves not to forget the pokey ones on the way back home from the big ride - some wacky som-bees act like trail horses heading for the barn.

See ya there,

May 18th - somewhere in the Central Valley of California...

Jumping Jacks, 300, ready...., BEGIN! 1-2-3-1, 1-2-3-2, let gravity do the rest.

PS - Dwight was no where near Chowchilla in August 2008, right Dwight? Dwiii-iight? DWIIIIIGHT?

PS: Our Grandbaby to be, is in Clovis, N.M., about 3 to 4 miles from Graybeards home turf, not in Chowchilla. Anyway Amy has decided that she is going to be there for the birth of our daughter-in-laws second child. Seeing that Prescott is the half way point to Clovis, the timing may work out for a stop over on the way.
So, Bob you got skiis on that Green Bonnie?

Been freezin' my koondingie off, waiting for it to get above freezing so I can at least wet the seals. We're having a smaller version of the typical Central Valley winter thermal inversion that's keeping things rather chilly. I remember when I lived in Madera County, about five miles north of the Ranchos (Road 406? - a short cut from Chowchilla to Hwy 41)and we could look south, above the fog and inversion - it was like living in the clouds.

Congratulations Gramps & Grammy, hope it all comes off w/o a hitch. Too bad it isn't the other "Clovis," huh? But then it puts you closer to us. Don't forget the "Cee-gars".

Bob

You're right, Bob. You see...

Just about a year ago,
I set out on the road,
Seekin' my fame and fortune,
Lookin' for that pot o' gold

Well, things got bad,
And things got worse,
But I guess you know the tune

Yep!
Oh Lord, I got stuck in Lodi again!

(and never made it as far as Chowchilla)

Hmmmm.

I don't know Ed, but it seems to me that you've written this whole thing off entirely too quickly here!!!

I mean, let's look at this thing logically. You appear to have performed the logistical analysis required here, AND don't forget, by late May of this year, that snow of which you speak should be nothing but an inconvenient memory, and thus all roads leading to the beautiful town of Prescott Arizona by then should be passable in the main. But then again, that is only a rough estimate as to the lack of said snow, seeing as how you appear to be somewhat reticent with the information of exactly how far NORTH your "house in the snow" actually sits.

(and so, in other words....DON'T GIVE UP THE THOUGHT HERE, DUDE!...IT'D BE GREAT TO HAVE A TIGER OWNER SHOW UP TOO!!!)

Can I call dibs on the office again, but may get a hotel room for part of the weekend - depends on if I have a riding partner that weekend!

Becky

PS - I will take 1 lg tshirt.

If I'm riding by then (and comfortable with it), I'd be tempted to give it a shot. As long as I stay off Whidby Island!!
Not sure what my schedule will be yet.

Hmmmm.

I am a pipefitter again, and plan on working in Nevada, California or Utah at that time. Maybe it'll work, as long as I have a 110v outlet for my CPAP machine. When I snore, you can hear tissue tearing apart.
So, I'll have to put my cicle in the bed of my truck to go out West. At least it'll look like a Harley!

We just found out on Thursday (Jan 15) that we will need to bring cigars with pink bands on them. This is our fifth granddaughter (only one grandson so far). Strange though, Bob has four son's, and it seems that his son's only make daughters (except for the one boy). It's still not set in stone whether we go to Prescott this year. If we don't go to Laughlin in April, we go to Prescott. We do have reservations for Sturgis though. Try to stay warm.

I know certain unforeseen events unfortunately conspired to prevent Zdenko, Steve and Bob from gettin' down to Prescott from their Northwest locations last year, but I'm hopeing this year fate will be a little kinder to us all!

Bob, if all goes well, I may soon be able to help you with that darn dilemna of yours.

As much as I want to go, I don't know if I will be ready to ride that far by May. I don't want to tempt fate twice!!

And I still don't know what my schedule is in early May. I may just be coming back from Bahrain or maybe on my way to work in Texas for a week.

Between Dennis and John and I, we could have quite the C/Bi-PAP band (probably sound like the Three Stooges) - I've graduated from a 10 to an 11, and I think John's maxed out at 23(??)

Let me ask you guys a question...Where do you put your units (ha-ha...I said "units," kind of like, "Power tools in Bangkok)? Keep mine on the floor, unless the dog's fartin'. Got too much hose (yeah, I said "hose") to deal with otherwise

I rode up to Prescott just last weekend, temperature was 60 degrees , still some snow on the hillsides, but everyone was walking around in t-shirts.It was perfect. Dwight I've never been to your shindig before but I'm talking to my wife(the lovely Laura) about it as we speak, sounds like fun.
