17 days till first light. Departing for the Ga Rally on Friday April 24th. Heading Northwest to Lumpkin, GA to tour Georgia's "Little Grand Canyon." Don't be confused as Lumpkin is not in Lumpkin County. From there we'll head up to Pine Mountain, where, slightly East of there, in a town called Warm Springs we'll visit the place where Roosevelt was poking Lucy Mercer in the little white house. Haven't much figured out where to from there, but we might get to Dalonega before the 27th! We'll see.

that all depends on if you slide your bike around any corners on loose gravel this year

Well, I will have more low-end torque than last year.

Wednesday
We'll have breakfast in town and roll out
around 0900 bound for one of my favorite
stretches of road.
East out of Dahlonega on hwy 52 then 115
to Cleveland and on to Clarkesville to get
on hwy 197 that runs up around Lake
Burton, very nice area and loads of fun to
ride. Then on to those long laid back
curves on 76 to Hiawasse... I like
Hiawassee..

Yeah.. I got a thing for Daniels Steak
House but they make a dang good steak .
So lunch there before heading back on
another one of my favorite stretches of
road... hwy 75 towards Helen. Then on to
180 and we'll come back home on 9 down
Blood mountain.

Meeting place will be the back parking lot
of the little diner across the corner from
Pueblos off east main street in town. I'll
think of the name.. really ..

Wednesday

You would have to fly from Hiawassee to make it to the aeroport on time. You could roll easy but be sure you give Jennifer some of those comp'ed drink coupons and she'll wait in good spirits.

Good point. I guess I'll just have to ride Blood Mtn. about 50 times myself and then head to Hotlanta.

Anybody know what bikes will be at TWO to be demo'd? I'd love to jump on a Speed/Street 3 on those roads.

I'll be rolling in Thursday evening; looking forward to seeing everyone.

If you leave Dahlonega by 2 you should make it in plenty of time... the traffic down should be manageable but coming back will be another story.
Anyway, you can certainly ride to Hiawasse or thereabouts with us but probably won't be able to take in lunch.
Besides.. you don't want to miss 197 and 76..or 75..

Will, they had a couple of each at Daytona, so it is safe to assume they will have the same at TWO!

Well Pete, this goes without saying, but this year, you are in for a different experience. Please respect the difference in handling, speed, etc., at least, at first...

+1. But being south of the BRP, try Americus, Andersonville, Pine Mountain, Newnan, Rome, Ellijay.

Does anyone have a double room booked at the Days Inn but not have a roommate yet? I haven't booked anything because I wasn't sure what dates I was going to be there besides the weekend so now I'm looking for a place to stay. I've got the whole week off so I was thinking of coming up Sunday night or Monday. Just wanted to see if anyone was already paying for a double when they could split the cost before I book something myself.

As a few of ya already know, I'm not going to be in attendance either. We're not mining yet, but the first machine is coming together slowly but nicely.

Here's what we were playing with this morning...

Everyone have a Great Ga. Rally!!! And be safe. You don't want anyone driving off a mountain this year. I wish I could be there. Yota, have one, two, three... (well you know Yota ) for me. Hopefully I will see you all next year.
