There's a group in northern Texas fighting those things right now. Seems we have a law that requires evidence collectors to have an official, state-issued investigator permit. The group discovered that the software is only leased to the state, and is owned by the manufacturer of the equipment, and that's the key. The software is responsible for collection, and the manufacturer doesn't have an investigator's license. Danm, that's funny.
