1)- i didn't say i want them quiet, just not so friggin loud.
2)-it's much quicker with the pipes and accompanying mods which is the main reason for the pipes, and i'm not gonna lose that just to quiet it down.

As for restriction, the pipe is straight thru so the material i use and how i use it to pack them shouldn't have any impact on performance. But various things i've read suggest materials and the way you pack them will make it quieter or louder depending on which you do/use. All i want is to talk to someone who knows the truth about which will be quietest to avoid following the advice of someone who isn't experienced enough to know what will work best for me with near 100% accuracy.
