Just as a correction, the contents of the e-mail was posted earlier in this thread. I wrote an e-mail asking for a sound clip. The response I got was

Quote:

Hi

Sorry we don't have a sound clip of this bike - we completely rely on our customers videos etc for this sort of thing and so far no one has done this for the Speedmaster

Regards

to which I replied

Quote:

Seems like a silly thing for a company to do to me, rely on customers to advertise and market their products. From a consumer standpoint this is what it looks like, "Here, spend $440 of your money in this tight economy on my product, when your done could you tell everyone how great our product is, as a matter of fact, could you let them hear it too, that would really help us out a bit."
Just my thoughts on the subject because right now I'm leaning towards Scepters because I know by the sound clips on their website that bike will sound good with them on.

Regards

Never did I say that his company was stupid, I just expressed that it seemed silly that a company wouldn't want to give the customer what they were asking for then expect the customer to do 100% of their advertising, a point of view that I still stand by.

The Rube comment...

Quote:

No offense but sound clips are gimmicks to attract rubes who know nothing about exhausts

seemed directed at me, so illustrated by the no offense comment directly preceding. If the comment wasn't directed at me than there would be no use for the "no offense."

So were we both off base? Maybe and I'd like to take the opportunity to apologize for calling you any names. But there are still unresolved questions

Like
1) What do your pipes sound like?
2) What do your pipes look like?
3) Why do you say you supply directly to Brent at NewSpeedmaster but there are no Trident or Wolf exhausts anywhere on his site?
4) Why don't you have pictures of your exhausts on your website instead of a fuzzy picture of Scepters?
5) If you've handmade 20000 in 12 years that's 4.5 exhausts every day including weekends for 12 years straight by your self, with no staff. I don't make exhausts but that seems like a high turnout for having no staff. Do you stand by those numbers?

Let my dying thought be that every mile was fun and let my tombstone read,"They never made one fast enough for me."
