Just to set the record straight what I said in a private email after Arsnltim said my business was stupid for not doing sound clips was that we've always thought that they were unreliable and kind of for rubes. I didn't call him anything (though I could think of a few choice words now ) personally - I just expressed an opinion on the voracity of sound clips on line.
The point I also made was we don't advertise or do trade shows etc - every pipe we sell (and in 12 years that's been over $10M worth) is done by word of mouth and recommendation so we've never needed to have gimmicks like videos and sound clips because most of our customers have seen them on a friends bike or trust their mates recommendations. I didn't ask anyone to contact me - you chose to without any advertising or invitation from me and then chose to insult me and the way I do business. Maybe we Brits aren't as up to date with the way we do business as the Yanks but I am quite happy with the way I work - real people that see or hear about my products like them and decide to but them. I then hand make each and every one myself ( I have no staff at all) and if they like what they get (which all do) they tell their friends or post on a forum etc or most often get stopped by a stranger and asked "where did you get that pipe" - and I like it that way - I get a real buzz from hearing that someone got flagged down at a gas station and asked about their exhaust - it's old fashioned perhaps but it's the way I work and will always do so. I set up Trident to be something I could enjoy doing - I don't need money as I retired several years ago after floating my company - I do these pipes at a reasonable price and I make them the best I can - every pipe I make for every model beats all the competition on the dyno and in terms of quality of materials used. We have won every magazine test we've ever been in and in 12 years and over 20000 pipes made we have had less than a dozen returned.
