I agree name calling is always a bad idea justified or otherwise. I would like to know what they look like for sure and not want to see a pipe that looks like it but see the real deal. That is just common sense and goes for anything anyone would buy, they are going to want to see the actual product. As for sound bytes, it is a good idea to offer one but I agree you really don't get a good idea of sound on the computer. I listened to many when I was looking to do exhaust and you really don't know where your volume should be set to get a good idea since you don't know how loud it was recorded. You can maybe get and idea of tone I guess.
