In case, like me, you have the wrong info in your handbook the correct tyre pressures for EFI model bikes are 36psi front and 42psi rear. Being lazy, I checked the handbook version on the Triumph website...the numbers didn't sound like those I'd seen in my handbook so I called the factory. They confirmed that the pressures should be those listed above. Also, torque figures for the oil filter and spark plugs are slightly different. That said, I nonetheless run 25 front and 28 rear. So far no problems and no visible sidewall flex, and it cuts down on cervical disc compression at every expansion joint in the road. This old bod is built for comfort more than speed.

I used to run 10 PSI in the rear tire on my chopper to save my back too. That was a tube type tire though not sure I would want to run it that soft on tubeless but 28 should be OK. I never noticed anything different as far as the way it wore either. The soft front may adversely effect your handling though and given the wobble factor others have found you may want to rethink the pressure in the front.

Roger that. Before the next ride I'll bring it up to 28 and see how that is. Just turned 500 miles and things are beginning to break in a bit. The Metzelers seem to be pretty good in the cold - better than I thought they would be.

OK, just put on a quick 50 miles at 28# front and rear, two up. 45 degrees, damp road, high winds, but dang it felt good to ride. Will stick with this pressure and keep riding every chance I get; only layup will be for snow/ice.
