Absolutely, but the burden of proof is more difficult when only one vehicle is damaged. At the very least, it requires a credible witness capable of convincing the court that the damages/injuries incurred were the direct result of a reasonable course of action that was necessitated by the recklessness of the other driver. Not easy, but it does happen.
