This has nothing to do w/ the Speedmaster, but I'm posting here to see what some of you more-knowledgeable-than-me people have to say about this.
Putting my '00 Daytona back together, and I'd like to swap out the clip-ons for more comfortable some bars. It's going to look more like a Speed Triple when I'm done anyway. The top yoke on the Daytona doesn't have holes for risers, but the Speed Triple yoke does. I'm watching ebay and am going to post a parts wanted thread on Trat.net, but if anybody knows of someone parting out a S3, I'd really like to find a top yoke...and then start looking for some risers and bars...and a speedo cable...and throttle cables...and clutch cables...
But...if I don't find one, it looks to me like I should be able to drill two holes for risers in my current top yoke. I've got a friend who has the tools to do this and has offered to help out. Is there a reason that drilling a couple of holes into the yoke would be a bad idea?
After ditching the front fairing, I am working on some brackets for the dashboard and the headlights. I have mounted the turn signals already. Hopefully, I'll be riding it again by spring.

Thanks,
Will
