About a year ago, police in my area were called to a disturbance one evening after dark. When the two officers arrived, there was a guy outside on the street, ranting and raving. Given the situation, they couldn't help but know two things: 1. He was gonna resist, cuz he was really acting nuts, and 2. He was completely unarmed. They knew he was unarmed cuz he was stark nekked, not a stitch of anything. Neverthless, they walked over and attempted to subdue him by means of hand-to-hand combat. That of course created a scuffle, which they then resolved by shooting him dead. The officers involved have since been exonerated by a board of law abiding citizens. Behaviour like this and lack of justice for the victims is not atypical.
