Big Bill, BillPVegas and Dan Corrigan made the run to VOF near Overton Nevada. BillP has been a Vampire for the last few months had yet to be out of doors in daylight for some time so he was always lurking around the shadows and wore sunglassess and his dark visor down all the time. It made for an interesting meal in Overton later on that day.

The ride was great, the scenery stupendous and BillP had some serious gasts in his flabbs. The last few miles on the way up were kinda knarly. Loose gravel over pocked asphalt and broken road under construction made for a level 7 in the pucker factor. We all survived although I have something stuck in my throat which came from down south of the border. Nothing fell off any of the bikes but my heat shield on the right side needed nuturing later on.

Great feasting and telling of lies took place at a hole in the wall diner in Overton. If anybody remembers the nasty, stubby and UGLY blonde that was Drew Carey sidekick....picture a younger, fatter and taller version and you have our waitress. She is infamous for her Halloween costume....she came as a 247 pound chicken. She drooled all over me while ogling Big Bill nasty bicep guns. Alas he had only eyes for my fries and he ignored her. I ignored both of them and continued to scarf down my two 1/2 lb burgers with bacon, cheese and katsup, onions and grease. His face fell when I finished off the fries and the waitress retreated to the kitchen to replenish her 7 oz of makeup. She wore enough to appear on the stage of the skuzziest casino on the strip.

If you blink twice you will miss the whole town. It made national news last year after about 1/4 of the town washed away in the flood of the Virgin River. After gassing up we headed back to Sin City into a setting sun which made riding point kinda difficult for me as I had no visor to keep the sun out of my eyes.

Rode one handed in the sun and with both hands on the bars and made up the speed in the shade. A good time was had by all. [image]http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj187/dancorrigan/?action=view&current=Bonnya.jpg[/image]

Next May Wade. Watch for Dwight posting details within the next couple o' months.

Dan, I see BillP's fangs are receding, though he still keeps his mouth closed for the close ups.

I recommend something from south of the border for that thing from south of the border in your throat.

I tried two cans of Tecate. No change. I am on my second helping of Jamesons with 50% filtered water and ice (8 oz just as the doctor ordered) and I am slowly going numb. If feels good! That waitress really had the hots for your ugly hide but you had eyes only for my fries. A great ride and thanks bunches for backing me up in case I fell over and went boom into the ditches.

I'm gonna order two pair of those real dark glasses, a pair of clears and another pair of the yellow tint for night fighting. Thanks for the info and for the good company.

Dan

A good time was had by all...Even in the daylight...who would have thunk it.
I am ashamed to say I have lived in Vegas for 13 years and never been to the Valley of Fire (how sad is that).I need to say for the record that it is: breathtaking/wow/awesome...pick one.
We had a great time, the roads were a little sh**ty in parts but with Dan the Trailblazingman on point we were good to go. BigBill and I were kind enough to let Dan lead the way and we kept a safe distance behind so we could mount a rescue mission if needed, thankfully it was not needed.
The dinner in Overton was interesting...I didn’t think little towns like that still existed in Nevada, it had a nice deliverance vibe to it. The food was good and the waitress was truly spectacular. I would have paid to see her in her Halloween costume...a 250 pound chicken....what’s not to love about that?
It was also comical to see wild Dan Hickock walking around with his .45 on his hip...he almost gave the German tourists a heart attack when he was walking around the sights...fun,fun,fun.
GOOD TIMES.
