Bubs!!! There's some threads on the board where some others guys, far more experienced than me, claim the Bubs are tuned for the Triumphs. All I know is that they sounded fantastic on my bike and I did received a lot of compliments from people on the sound. It was not obnoxiously loud either. I'm saving my Bubs for next TBA. They will look a little beat up but they sound so darn good!! British Customs is one of the places that supply Bubs, but poke around, you might find them cheaper: Bubs at British CustomsSteve

I think the SS sound a little better(deeper tone)but the Bubs give more of a performance gain. I have the Bubs, and like them so much I got a spare set off e-bay. There is a vid of my bike on the dyno at the NHRally on youtube, and look at the dyno results for all of us. Uncle Charlie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PwyOg-LKjk

personally I would remove baffles until I have the sound I want and pocket the money I didn't spend. I run gutted stock pipes with the reducer cone in.

I was talking to a dealer who will gut stock pipes for 50 bucks but he said the 08 pipes have cats in them so he wont touch them. So its bubs or ss pipes .

I never heard either when I purchased my pipes. I chose the Bubs based on performance (all research lead me to beleive they offer the best results).
Isn't that what really counts?
I couldn't be happier with my Bubs!

Are you aware that the 11 1/2 412s are 1" shorter than stock?

I've got the 11.5 412s. The Bubs can scrape on hard corners. I'm not a knee dragger, so they suit me fine. You will find the most improvement with the progressive fork springs. Did you notice the pic of my bike on the Bub site? http://bub.com/Customer_Picture_Page.cfm

Im no knee dragger im to old for that. I didnt think it would move the pipes down any closer to the gound with just the back springs just seat height the pipes are hooked to the lower frame if you would change to a smaller tire size that would move your pipes just my thought. Your bike looks good i like that front bag where did you pic that up at?

It lowers the seat height, as well as reducing ground clearance a little. That's a Saddlemen handlebar bag that matches the Drifter saddlebags. With the stock fork springs, it would rub the fender. Motorcyclesuperstore.com, If I remember correctly??????

Looks Great.
Noticed you have a belt drive on your ride. How do you like it. Any issues so far?

Good eye there Gregger! Over 8k on the belt. The only downside is that I don't spend the quality time with my bike anymore. Cleaning, and lubing the chain. Then adjusting it, followed by cleaning all the fling off. The ratio change brings it up to almost an 18/42. I no longer look for 6th, and find that I often am in 4rth on the highway riding with traffic at 60-65.
Your results may vary, Uncle Charlie

Didn't mean to change the thread but what type is it? QPD from NewSpeedmaster? I hear you about the cleaning & lubing. I tend to spend too much time wiping fling off my rims. The purchase is on my to do list along with a dozen other items but....
