Can you give us any other symptoms? If it is cutting out, how? Does the unit just quit? At what engine speed? Does it sputter first? Run on one cyl for a while? Backfire?
Maybe you do have a pickup coil problem. Giving us the symptoms helps us all learn a little more. Keep us posted.
