I remember those gloves. I pulled a lot of alert in the Air Force up in the Artic. They were very big, heavy, and WARM.

On another path, I just ordered some rain/wind over gloves at Aerostich. They are made to slip over your regular gloves:

I ordered the unlined ones, as they rollup very small & I can keep them in my saddlebags all the time.

The lined ones appear to be much more bulky, but testimonials say they are good to below 20 deg F, over your regular gloves.
