Just keep in mind that a pistol or revolver is something you have to allow you to fight your way to get that shotgun or rifle that will be your real weapon of choice.

Nothing prepares you better than practice and then more practice. You really cannot scare anybody just by showing them a gun.....you need to be able to place a round in the right place to take them down now!

I got into 5 firefights during my lifetime as a NYCPD officer and every time I reverted to the training I had recieved and used a two handed hold on the gun, dropped into a crouch and stepped to the left, brought my front sight up to lower center mass and emptied the gun, found cover, reloaded and then assessed the situation. It always worked and kept me alive.

What you practice you will use when the chips are down so it pays to practice often and well. Remember most gunfights take place within 24 feet of your muzzle so do not waste a lot of time and ammo shooting at 25 yds with one hand.
