I'm a city guy who never has owned or fired a gun of any type other than a BB gun. I think that the shotgun approach would be best. I'm thinking that I would be pretty scared in the event that I was confronting someone in a home situation. I'm guessing I wouldn't be as collected as folks are in the movies. The ability to point in the general direction of the intruder and create a lot of harm sounds pretty attractive.
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax
