HAH, you’re right. There’s nothing like the sound of a 12 gauge pump chambering a round. I have Mossberg pump with an 18 ½ barrel for just such an occasion. Years ago a buddy of mine had a guy break into his house in the middle of the night. When he chambered a round into his 12 gauge the intruder left so fast he missed a step breaking his leg. Both he and the cops thought it was pretty funny but, since it happened in California, I’m surprised the crook didn’t sue.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
