You can search the topic on the forum and get a lot of responses to this question. It has been reported numerous times that the flush mount cap will not fit the 07 and 08 models of Americas and Speedmasters. Apparently, there was a re-tooling of the tank threading. The stock caps used to fit a little loose, now they fit better so it seems they enlarged the thread slightly.
