We could always pump 1 gallon into another car before we fill up ours.
Then we would look like wackos when we try to get them to pay for the 1 gallon of fuel.
OR we could wait around until someone gets the good stuff and come in behind them to get ours.

For the desperate you could put in about 3 ounces of kerosene to bring up the flash point.

I did this on a rattling Harley and it does work.
