Does anybody have any ideas on mounting driving lights without having to add a light bar? I was thinking about the turn signal relocators I've seen on newspeedmaster.com Has anybody tried it, or have any other Ideas?

Someone mounted small bullet style turn signals directly to the sides of the headlight bucket. No reason that wouldn't work with small bullet style driving lights.

You might be able to adapt the lowers clamps made by Memphis Shades and mount the lights on the fork shrouds. What's your intended purpose for eliminating the light bar?

Gotcha. I'm not sure how compatible driving lights are with the minimalist concept. You'll need something really small, not to spoil the lines. Scratch the Memphis clamps.

Mine look like Friar John's posting. Work great. 55 watts each. I leave them on all the time. Cost: $15 at Walmart. As I remember, they were made by Optimus or Optiplex or something like that. You need the round ones (not ovals) to fit. They mount through the existing holes in the lower fork triple tree as shown. I have used them for several years. Cars notice me, but don't flash their high beams at me. Best of all worlds.

Well, I said to scratch the Memphis clamps because he wants these on a bobber. In retrospect, maybe they could be turned inward to mount two small lights inside the forks. I have a spare set; if I get time, I'll mount them to the lower forks temporarily, just to see if this is feasible.

I mounted a set of wally world lights ($20) on the top corner of my engine crash bars and they are doing a pretty good job. Easy to install and they really light up the road.

Memphis Shades does make a "mounting bracket" for turn signal "relocation" for these mounts, looks kind of off though to my taste, but what do I know? I love the America!
Gives you some ideas that will work for the handy man.

hey Eddy, do you sell a new headlight insert? I just noticed my light bulb wasn't working and opened up the light to replace it.
Well the rubber grommet thingo that surrounds the connection etc virtually fell apart, one side of where the spring connection wire do-dad connected to had broken off, hey what is going on with these lights. They are absolute Junk.
So I replaced the bulb and taped it up as best I could and turned it on for a while to make sure it didn't catch alight, but now I need a new insert and I remember Tadpole had bought an after market number.
Just interested is all. I'll talk to taddy after getting back from my 3 day ride on Monday.

Check out Martin Fabrication, I have a set of their auxiliary driving lights on my Tiger. The same lights would have easily fit on my America. Tom Auxiliary driving lights

I realize I'm new here (just joined). But I'm in the process of purchasing an '07 America. Here's the lights I have on my current bike. If the America forks aren't bigger than 58mm then this setup should work fine. They are made by Kuryakyn and they're called Constellation Driving Lights.

[image]http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj187/dancorrigan/?action=view¤t=IMG_0017-1.jpg[/image] I recently sprant for a decent headlight bulb from Fast Eddy {He is really FAST} and now I can really see and be seen on my midnight forays and scouting missons.

I finally figured out how to attach a photo. Here is my "Clyde" after a rare rain shower in Vegas.
