I remember the "trick" about putting down the kickstand back in my MSC course. There's one light in Kent, WA, at the intersection of 108th Ave SE & SE 216th St that is like that. I'd sit and wait & wait for that light to go green so I could go left. I'd have to wait until a car came up behind or I'd try the kickstand.
