Well, I took the signal housing apart and really can't find anywhere for the springs to go on my 09 America.
The white square piece in this blurry picture is the latching part...there are two areas where the springs would fit if I cut the shorter to decrease the size of the springs..but it looks like they will just fall out of the housing to the ground...the only other thing I am thinking is the cancelling button has a screw on the back, so I can take that out and then maybe the switch will just slide back and forth and latch, then the signal minder will time it out...hmmmmmm not sure, anybody else got any ideas...I will check with Kisan, maybe I can send them the pic of the housing and they can tell me what to do...
