yes, and no...the unit times the signal out or shuts it off...but the button does stay in the middle...but the next time you need a signal you really just push the button where you need it..you don't have to cancel the button to the center position everytime..but yes it will be nice to have the springs in..just still haven't had four hands to help me...or the guts to try it : )
