Ok I located the plug with the purple and black wires. Don't need to remove anything to get to it. It is nicely tucked up under the tank near the pre-cut hole for the plug. It appears the powerlet PSO-001 female plug will directly connect ($15.95). The factor connector is even packed with dielectric grease. My only concern is it is only protected with a 10amp fuse. I may switch the wiring with the powerlet wiring which is rated to 15amps. Thanks for the info everyone. Now I can hook up the battery tender and get a heated vest and gloves.
Switching the wiring to 15amp capacity is mandatory if you go to a 15amp fuse. Question is, can the bike support the power if you use it at 15amps? I don't know the answer, I'm just asking
