Does anyone know if the powerlet brand accesory plug is a direct plug in on an 07 America? I have looked through the tech stuff and done some searches on here; however, I may just be missing an old post. It appears the wiring connector for the plug is already in place, that is if I am reading the wiring diagram correctly.

The Triumph one is, as I have that on my bike it is a little T shaped plug which is tied up at the back of the tank

This is what I bought from Powerlet and installed on an 05 America. It worked fine in the mounting location under the rear of the tank and with the two wire connector already in place.

Ok I located the plug with the purple and black wires. Don't need to remove anything to get to it. It is nicely tucked up under the tank near the pre-cut hole for the plug. It appears the powerlet PSO-001 female plug will directly connect ($15.95). The factor connector is even packed with dielectric grease. My only concern is it is only protected with a 10amp fuse. I may switch the wiring with the powerlet wiring which is rated to 15amps. Thanks for the info everyone. Now I can hook up the battery tender and get a heated vest and gloves.

Switching the wiring to 15amp capacity is mandatory if you go to a 15amp fuse. Question is, can the bike support the power if you use it at 15amps?
I don't know the answer, I'm just asking

What kind of plug is this?
Never heard of this before. Is it a female, 120v type?(no, can't be)
And what the heck would it power?
Probably little "cold weather" things? (in Florida, we don't worry about these things. At least we SANE ones)

The bike comes wire with 10amp dedicated fuse at the block. If I change the wiring I will change the fuse to 15amp. Should be simple. Acutally went down to performance cycle in Oklahoma City. They had the OEM triumph part for $35, they also had the powerlet brand for 13.95. Cheaper than the internet, no shipping and walked out with it. I hope to hook it up and test it today.

Got the powerlet plug installed the PSO-001. It connected directly to the factory wiring which was located in a bundle under the tank. The female plug is the BMW type and comes with all the washers and nuts to install. Took less than 10 minutes and that was getting out the tools and checking the voltage with a meter. I left the stock wiring which is fused with a 10 amp fuse at the fuse block (that is the factory wiring). I may replace it with wiring and a fuse capable of 15 amps just to have a little more capacity to get that current to the plug. The plug will handle 15 amps. Now I have to go buy a jacket liner or vest and gloves.

Ok, then get back to us and let us know if it handles the current draw ok. I ordered the Firstgesr gloves the other day, so when it gets really cold I can still keep going.

I've got the powerlet socket under the tank sorted and it plugs into my tank bag which is used as a hub so to speak. From here I have 2 outlets, one for my "do everything smart phone so I can listen to E books and watch Tom Tom, and the other has the wire ready for the Powerlet Heated Vest so I'm also interested to see how well they operate.
