I am not going to pass my views on this guy but will say I have (possibly) broken the speed limit on a couple of occassions. You know the sort of thing sunny day road conditions good twisty windy bits and just getting the buzz of riding. Or on the Motorway a good stretch and away you go. Personally I know of a few people who are less tolerant than myself who now that they have his picture and know the area he is in would not be averse to seeing his bike accidently damaged .... http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/mcn/2008/October/27-31/oct2908-vigilante-biker/

Yes and he should be done for impersonating a police officer with the pan like that. Mind you I bet it won't look that way for long.

Did anyone do the poll at the bottom of the article? One option is "He's giving bikers good publicity. We need someone like him" the other is "I don't like him - I'd show him what vigilante really means" right now the results are 5% for like him and 95% for don't. I personally think that if he wants to stop speeders he sould have been a cop, otherwise he should mind his own business.

Don Knotts in the old Andy Griffith show, circa 1965 (I would be born 5 years later) ran around screeching "Citizen's Arrest, Citizen's Arrest" in one episode.
Maybe this dunderhead was suitably inspired??

Ummmm...I hate to break it to ya John, but THAT was actually Jim Nabors playing "Gomer" who ran around sayin' that in that one particular episode of "The Andy Griffith Show"!!!
For if you recall, Don Knotts played Barney Fife, a duly deputized member of the Mayberry Sheriff Office. Hence, there would be NO reason for Barney to EVER run abound and screech "CITIZEN'S arrest" to anybody, now would there?!
(but seeing as how you were born the year I graduated from high school and evidently you're just a puppy and all, and never appeared to have the opportunity to watch Mr. Griffith's fine sitcom in it's initial first-run capacity, I'll forgive you for this infraction and I will refrain from placing YOU under MY citizen's arrest, and will just let you go with a "citizen's WARNING" this time...but let's be a little more careful in the future, OKAY?!)

Yep Erle! I'm pretty sure it was Gomer, alright!
Though my wife Judie and I think the episode where Gomer and Goober go out on a double date with Thelma Lou and Helen, because the two ladies want to make Barney and Andy jealous is always a hilarious for this one scene especially....
Trying to impress the ladies during their date, Gomer tells 'em that Goober does a very good impression of Cary Grant. Goober says something like, "Ah shucks, it ain't all that good", to which Gomer says, "Why, it SURE IS! Don't cha wanna do it for these nice ladies?"
To which Goober replies..."Oh, I'll DO IT! I'll DO IT! Here ya go! Judy, Judy, Judy!", with a southern accent, and of course sounds NOTHING like Cary Grant's mid-Atlantic accent.

Bloody liar to, if he is an ex-courier as the article claims, then if he did not break the speed limit every time he went out then he was a crap courier and a poor one.

I think all the above quotes summed up everything I have to say about this extreme tosser. I cannot condone speeding but, sure as God made little green apples, if the b*****d ever came down my way, I have no doubt that long queues would form for those volunteering to practice very complex and painfull anal-oro dentistry on the idiot. Don't know if there would be many HD riders willing to assist 'though. With all the spy and speed cameras now infesting the UK like weeds, the last thing we need is a nerdy 'Uncle Tom' biker grassing on us to the Plods! Jeez!
