I was talking to a guy who normally stops in at my work on an HD... came in the other night on his wife's 3 year old Bonneville T100. Still had the AI and the blue extended all the way down the headers to where they turned to go horizontal, at which point they went gold! Now I realise the Bonne's pipes aren't double walled like ours, but the point is that if they get hot enough to discolour that far down with a single wall, they're certainly hot enough to discolour the outer wall of ours at least half that far, given enough miles.

If you like the retro british gold n blue chrome where chrome was just to stop steel rusting, stay with it - It'll run just as nice and if it aint broke why fix it? If you prefer the "American chrome" where chrome is there to be shiny too, consider pulling the AI off.
