For myself, a thousand bucks for a starter bike like this is wise, and a good deal. She can ride it for a while in the summer and see if she likes to ride. This is way better than my aunt, who spent five thousand on a 500 jap bike, and another thou on clothes and accessories, and rides it twice a year, maybe. Ride on!
