this is a possibility, but unlikely as I would expect the 360° igniters to suffer the same death, but they don't. I can only imagine it's down to positioning, the 270° igniters are under the tank above the engine open to getting wet and hot unlike the 360° igniters which are under the seat, cool and dry.

Our igniters do have a self diagnosic system built in, but I have never accessed a bad one to find out what data it gives out.
