Mike,

Thanks for the info and the opportunity to upgrade our CDI units. I've read most of the posts on the other website. I'm interested. I have an 03 790 America.

I have a couple of questions. Background - I currently have my TPS sensor disconnected due to a problem with the variable resistor. The bike quits after about 15 minutes of running with it hooked up. When I disconnect it, it runs fine. I've noticed that the bike runs well and the popping on decelleration has completely disappeared. Full throttle is fine but acceleration in the lower rpm range seems a bit weaker than before. Still have the rev limiter cutting in at around 7100 indicated with the bike pulling strong.

My questions -
1. Is the TPS sensor needed to get the most out of the current mapping?
2. Are the current CDI units set up to improve emissions vs performance (Decel popping is gone with the TPS disconnected). What mapping preference do you use - performance vs emissions?
3. Can the TPS sensor be replaced (different resistance values) to better improve timing
4. When will the 270 degree engine rev limiter increase be available and to what extend (rpm limit)?

Regards
Greg
