Hey just thought that I would see if anyone else is going to venture south of the border in November for the annual Rocky Point Rally??? Sonya and I are going down leaving the 5th, will be spending that night in Tuscon, then to Rocky Point the next day then leaving the 9th to head home to make it back to work....

Can't say I will. Distance for one, but mostly because of all the tourist kidnapping/killings going on down there. Don't know how it is now, but when I lived in San Diego earlier this year it was a way too often news story. Best of luck and have fun.

They have a similar slogan to Vegas.

What happens here gets buried here.

You are way more brave than I. Have fun.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Go dude!
I made the "El diablo run" in 07, and the only thing that will kill you is the thousand miles of purgatory. Pot holes, dust devils, darkness, thats going to be your problem, Not desperados! You weren't going alone, right?
We basically went from Tucson, AZ.- El Centro, CA.- San Felipe, Mex.- Ensenada, Tecate, back to El Centro, and finally back to Tucson. Not to mention the four thousand back & forth from Orlando.
I lost my dog, my as-s has NEVER been the same since, and NO, I'll never do that one again! (but not from fear of violence)

And you may see me tonight With an illegal smile J. Prine

Well, if the rally where say around Juarez, or other questionable places in Mexico I might not go, but with where it is going to be, and since its not in a place that they have had issues with people dissappearing etc, not to mention there will be thousands of other US bikers , I dont really see it as a problem....

Went one year. There are alot of bikes on the road going down there...so there shouldn't be any problems. Be sure to have a passport or copy of your birth certificate to cross back into the USA. The prolems in Mex are around TJ...the main drug cartel that was located in TJ was "taken" down so there are two cartel's fighting for TJ area..that is what all the kiilings are about.....
