First off I have not gotten ride of my or my wifes BA, hers is still nice and safe in the garage at the house, mine is in many pieces with more pieces at the chromers and some at the power coater..
Now back to my post.. I was in need of a set of pilot jets for a 01 Ninja 900. Only place in Charleston had 2 I needed 4, oh well take what you can get.. SO off to the Yamaha,Suzuki, Kawi, Honda dealer.. I walk in and pass by a pretty little bike on my way to the parts counter.. I did pause for a moment to look at it.. Was pretty I thoguht and I liked the colors.. Anyhow while i am wating on my parts a friend of mine who is a sales man walked up and told me how he caught me looking at the bike.. I told him it was nice but not in the market for a new bike.. he tells me its a 08 but its not new.. Seems the owners wife did not like ridding around with her boty in the air so he traded it on a v-star 1100.. Then he tells me he will sell it ot me at his price.. Oh great here it comes,, "his price" I am jut waiting on a figure like 500 off the MSRP.. Nope he says even better.. Then goes on about how he was on his way ot call me when he saw it hit the floor, but saw me pull in.. I of course tell him thanks but whats the price.. He smiles and walks away.. I get my parts and a few minutes later I see him standing out side with that bike by my truck.. I told him I had not bought the bike and i may not want it, again he smiles and says " the porter is getting a ramp now".. Wow tak about hard ball,, or is it high pressure sales? Ok so we load up the bike and FINEALY go to his office.. He writes down a number on a piece of paper and tells me if I dont buy it her will, but either way its leaving in my truck.. I lok at the piece of paper and my jaw hits the floor.. I almost break my arm trying to get ot my debit cardAs I hand him my card I tell him I will only buy if I get a free helmet.. So for 1200 dollars I got me a 2008 Yamaha R6 with 1500 miles on it..
Now if I could get my 2 year old off it I might get to put a few miles on it lol
