As an option, here's the seat without the studs. Also, be aware thst when you order the seat directly from Corbin you can specify that you want their softer foam. It's still very firm, but when you press down on it with your hand (or butt), there's some "give" in there, as opposed to the standard hard-as-a-brick feel. The flap on the back of the seat covers the slot the backrest (not yet ordered) slides into. If you're not ordering the backrest right away but think you might in the future, be sure to mention that you want the backrest provision.
