Here is an update....The dealer checked all the mechanical suspects, no improvement. The dealer e-mailed the factory with the question, what should we do next? No reply from the factory. So I called Triumph USA in Georgia and was told " We don't warranty tires , they are considered normal wear items. I said that the tires only have 2800 miles on them and still have the nibs on them from the manufacturing process, and I didn't consider the problem to be normal or reasonable, I said it is a safety issue. He told me I would have to take it up with the manufacturer, so I called Metzler and was told that I would have to take it to a distributer( 50 miles away) and have it looked at and he may have to call a district rep to approve it and they may or may not warranty it. So I called the dealer back and told him my story and asked him if he wanted to do the right thing and fix this for me and he replied " what do you mean? Buy you a new tire? " and I said yes ,that is what I'm asking. He said " No I can't do that" So I guess I'm on my own here , my only choice seems to buy my own tire or drive myself crazy chaising my tail.

NO, the dealer has to take it up with the manufacturer. If the bike is still under warranty, and this is not due to "normal" wear or abuse, then when you pick up the bike from the dealer, test drive it and bring it right back. Bottom line is there is a problem and the dealer needs to fix it. Not sure if lemon laws apply to motorbikes. I had no problem getting a tyre under warranty (I live in Australia but warranty is warranty).

Others on this forum had tyres replaced under warranty. Do a search, print out the posts and biuld a case.

If you are not happy, start writing (Customer Support Manager Triumph America, Better Business Bureau and the DOT Department of Transport(safety issue), and perhaps a small claims court session is in order if you still don't get any satisfaction. This is simply not acceptable.
