I was out today, stopped for lunch and was sitting, enjoying my sandwich. Then I started wondering what the ****** was going on with my armor in my pants, it was all hanging off the side and back of my right knee. Then I couldn't find the matching size pad on the left knee. Screw it...I'm starving.

What kind of MORON doesn't recognize his freaking wallet has fallen out of his jeans. Went back, spent an hour looking. Then another hour and a half canceling cards. Now I need a new license, medical card, movie rental card, debit card, business credit card, etc. 5-7 days is the estimate before I'll be back, known as a stinking number to all these different establishments. Awwwwwww Holy Crapoli.

Yep, did that once, many years ago. Lost the wallet with a whole weeks paycheck in it! Luckily, I did retrace my ride and found it along the curb, with no money. (Went right out and bought a chained wallet) But at least I got my ID back. But you're right, nowadays, with all the crap I carry in my wallet, it would be a major disaster!

That truly does suck alright, Jack. Sorry to hear it. But maybe, just maybe, you might luck out like I did some 20 years ago.

I had lost my wallet one night. I was really bummed and started the whole contact this company, contact that company sort'a thing the next day.

Two days later, just as I was about to ride over to the DMV and stand in line for a couple of hours and take care of the whole drivers license thing, I received a small package in the mail, inside of which contained my wallet with all the cash(about 70 bucks) I had in it at the time I lost it, to boot! There was no return address on the package, but there was a short un-signed note inside that simply said the following:

"Here's your wallet which I found wednesday night in the movie theatre. I wish no reward other than the hope that you would do the same for any other as I have just done."

(I guess sometimes mankind doesn't totally suck, huh?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Wendy and I found one in a bar on the cig machine. Had tons of cash in it. We did the right thing and gave it to the owner of the bar. This is a bar we go to fairly often, little hole in the wall place but the food is excellent and everything is home made. To look at it most people would pass the place by but always lots of bikers there. Anyway about 1/2 way through our dinner the owner comes over and tells us our dinner was on him (the guy who owned the wallet) We weren't looking for a reward but it was cool none the less.

Lost mine once.Arrived home pretty drunk.Noticed it was missing.Rang all the credit card people and cancelled cards.Got a phone call from the bouncer at the pub i was at. Found my wallet next to the toilet bowl on the floor.Told him i don't care if the cash is gone, but i'd be grateful if the cards & personal papers were intact.Went back to the pub to get it.Money was all there & everything else intact. As hard as i tried no reward would be accepted. Not even a drink. This was at a pretty rough pub.Makes you think doesn't it

'Lost' mine during a tradeshow last year. It was hard to 'grip and grin' while I was worrying about how I was going to board the airline the next day without ID. After a day of sweating bullets and filing a police report to prove ID for travel, it was found back at the hotel intact. Whew!!!

Good stories guys, gives me a little hope. But it is creating havoc with my current plans, which includes just buying groceries. I have to go this morning to my bank and hope the asst. manager remembers me, just so I can get some cash out, lol.

Hey Bluehot,
This does not deal with a wallet, but it may give you some hope that there are good folks out there. A few months back a Blue Knights MC member lost a digital camera on a ride to Montana. A motorist stopped to use the facilities on the side of the road and found the camera. Took it home to Carson City, NV and reviewed the photos. Saw a photo with a Blue Knights NV patch and contacted my partner who is an officer with the Northern NV chapter. He was able to locate the member from Florida and return the camera. I hope you get your wallet back with all the contents. Having to cancel and renew everything is terrible and takes time.

Rick

A chained wallet, I learned when drinking years ago, will always keep your wallet within arms length.

Leoard, my second son (neighbor) was ribbing me about his chained wallet today. (I always teased him how lame it was, lol).

Progress report: I now have a temporary license until my new one comes in the mail. Renews again in 2012! It's in my new wallet with my Red Cross CPR /first aid cards. That is the lot.
