u have to paste properties of biger pictures from you gallery I could not get to your gallery and removed " _s" from links you posted

Yep, so did I! A 1980 XS1100 "Special" which I had for some 15 years, through I eventually realized I should have bought the Standard model like those here, as they were a little more comfortable and had larger gas tanks and subsequently more range. But back in '80 the look of those "Special" models were all the rage ya know.

BTW Al, the only Achilles' heel I ever found on my otherwise bullet-proof XS are a "clunky" second gear, which I understand was not all that unusual with them. Any problems in that regard with your XS11?

Sorry it took so lomg to respond. Computer's been down. The 2nd gear was a problem with these bikes but there is a fix that can be done. Not a major problem.
